Christmas Cards

You'll see this at the St. James Bazaar now on going up until tomorrow. But then again it seems more like an exhibition for me rather than a sale hahaha! They all go by "This is so cool" and giggle then hahaha then walk away. Hehe! Even the signage I did for our stall had been shot by cameras many times over. And Romir was even there, he was also selling his own Dota art.

Description: Acrylic on Chipboard, 6.5 x 6 inches (folded)
Price: P 80.00
(for now, this can only be sold locally in the Philippines)

I was rearranging my files and folders and I found this. Shot this December 2006 I think. He was one of our farm's caretaker's kids. And our farm's located in one of the most remote regions in Cebu, no phone signals and electricity, just trees and clean air. Although life there would be relatively hard for a city honker like me and everybody else, if I were to show this boy all the modernity in my part of the world and the pollution that exists with it, I'm quite hoping he will not trade his home for it. A very peaceful and safe home indeed. But then man tend to be more inclined into the unknown and diversions, hence we bought their farm, well my uncle bought the farm because he thought it was poorly developed for a city man's standards. And also for profit and his own diversion from the busy city life. These three things combined is one of the major reasons why the world will never cease to decay. Ironically, the things we buy and use to make the world a better place are actually really not helping, combined with those reasons. Some things are really better off unexplored. The grin on the boy's face would mean he is genuinely happy but curious about what's on the other side of the lens. He surely knew how to smile in front of it, but how about exploring it? To explore and to make mistakes is naturally human, but LEARNING from the things we explore and mistakes we make is just something we have to do more than trying to help out. Sometimes also we need not make amends for our mistakes. Just learn from it and never do it again. Mother nature has a way of healing herself.

I dreamt of him last night and he was dead. The wake and funeral services were all totally weird like some ritual and close relatives were all willing to do the crazy stunt that happened where they went up a stack of scaffolding, and it was snowing and raining at the same time, then as they got on top, they chanting or singing or praying something while being sprayed by a hose with warm water, then came the stunt. The scaffolding collapses and they all fall down with it and slide along the snow for about a kilometer on the road. Then they all stand up fine then the parade of his coffin begin. Then I wake up. hopefully his fine or nothing bad will happen to him in the near future. Let him live please!!!

Elliott Leaving

We just ate in Burger King which was beside the stage (he performed beside my painted murals, gaaaahhhhhdddd!!!!) and sat by the tables outside and watched him wrap up his autograph signing. Then he waved goodbye, everybody screamed and then the magic happened. He was gonna exit our way! Then the door opened and everybody just went running and I got this shot. HE WAS TWO FEET AWAY FROM ME!!! And I just screamed I LOVE YOU! Forgot about my mum and best friend who were with me then, but they also got their share of him ha ha ha! I was a little shoved by that big guy in the foreground and almost stumbled on some chairs. But it was all worth it!!! Now I share this with you all!! Enjoy!

kokopinto’s indulgences

Yey! I have bought meself a laptop! It's HP DV2503tx. The latest of its kind in the country. So far, I had a whole product replacement when the card reader turned out defective after two weeks from purchase. Then now it's going for its 2 month bought-day and there is a 1/4 inch of hair stuck inside the screen. It's under the glass. I read forums that it's a common thing and the manufacturer is obliged to take it out. The store I bought it from is becoming skeptic, whether I'm intentionally plotting these repairs and replacements, well typical of Filipino's, disregarding HP's very accomodating support program worldwide, which is why warranty is a very delicate matter here, but I'm not letting it get in my way of maximizing it. I paid every cent of it, and will pay more to extend it. I just don't know how, I can't do it online. I don't have a credit card because I have no employer, I'm a self-employed designer of sorts or PayPal because my card's only Maestro not Mastercard.

Anyway, that's that.

Today was the Burger King's Grand Re-Opening in ATC. The energy was so high di ako umabot ng lunch at inantok nako but then tuloy ang laban. We did live mural painting with all the people staring at my big butt and back hehe. Bahala sila basta kelangan kong tapusin ung trabaho ko by sunday. The design, my murals and the interior designer's, worked so well and it was sooooooooooooooooooo successful, the owners, the president, all the big bosses who appeared liked it soo much that they gave us something na super di ko inexpect. I don't wanna spoil anything for now. Kasi if i say or write down anything good that might happen in my life, it usually doesn't proceed. So hanggang dito lang muna ang post nato. Please pray na sana they really give it to us. Please please please!!!

I have the politest brother in the world. He's four. Whenever we bathe him or after a meal or just turning on the TV for him or just giving him a kiss or a hug, he would say "thank you!". His name is Joaquin and you will be hearing more from him in the years to come. I love you bro!
